About the Design Concept
Oil and water are immiscible—no matter how much we try to mix them up, they would always remain as separate entities. Yet, attempts to combine both result in stunning patterns, owing to their varying densities. We utilised the japanese suminagashi method to replicate this pattern, to illustrate the difference between definitions determined by patriarchy and the rise of feminism, and how this struggle and discourse towards a common ground can create much beauty in difference.
