United Nations features two ornately decorated wheelchairs with sequined
flags. Monica invites audiences to sit in these chairs and be guided around
in a journey through conversations about universal issues pertaining to
social disability.
“Monica de Miranda’s work takes us through our own collective
paths; art as a journey, dissolves and amplifies our own perceptions.
The topography of the landscape of her travels can be compared to an album
or diary, a record of life in constant flux. De Miranda’s work transports
us into a realm of self-reflection, life and art.”
