Speakeasy, a monthly spoken word and poetry showcase curated by poet Pooja Nansi burst onto the scene in April 2013 at Artistry. Since then, Speakeasy has featured both emerging and established writers from places as diverse as Burma and Botswana.

The first edition of Speakeasy for 2016 is proud to associate itself with the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival and its theme "Art and the Animal".

Come listen to some of Singapore's most outspoken and dynamic literary figures read poems about lust, greed, violence and all the other animal instincts that exist within us all.
